KEMAMPUAN MENULIS PUISI SISWA KELAS IV SD NEGERI 130 PEKANBARU

Abstract


Poetry is a variety of literature that is described using language that is briefly dense and beautiful. In writing poetry, there are three essence of poetry, namely the nature of art or function of aesthetics, density, and indirect expression. Writing poetry needs to be introduced to students since elementary school, so that students have the ability to appreciate poetry well. Appreciating a poem is not only intended for understanding and understanding poetry, but influences sharpening the sensitivity of feelings, reasoning, and sensitivity of children to humanitarian problems. The assessment of learning to write poetry in Pekanbaru Public Elementary School 130 is only subjective. The study was conducted in class IV SDN 130 Pekanbaru. This research was conducted in the second semester of the 2016/2017 school year. The method used in this study is descriptive quantitative. Collecting information with test techniques is usually done through giving a set of tasks. Data processing in the form of scoring the value of writing poetry, the average student writing ability and the percentage level of students' ability to write poetry both individually and classically. There are several aspects assessed in writing poetry are themes, images or images, diction, discussion and mandate. The action taken is that the researcher gives an essay test sheet to determine the ability of students to write poetry. Based on the recapitulation of the ability to write poetry, the average writing ability of students in writing poetry with the theme of the teacher viewed from all aspects is 52.39 with less criteria.
